Daily Morning Skin Care Routine

The idea of starting the day with a therapeutic regimen is steadily gaining foothold. An increasing number of women, and also men, in London have taken up this practice. It not only brightens and freshness the skin but also makes one feel great throughout the day.

  • Start with cleansing oil: Wipe off the overnight dirt build-up on your skin with cleansing oil. Consider this like rubbing of the notes on the board from a previous class. Cleansing oil not only removes the dirt build-up but also awakes your facial skin. There’re many such oils available in the market. It’s better to go for anything light that suits all skin types. Take a few drops of the oil in your palms and rub it well for a few seconds and then rub the palms on the entire face in a circular motion. Apply gentle pressure while doing this and continue it for a few minutes till most of the oil is soaked by the inner layers of the skin. Finally, rinse the face with warm water. This provides the necessary hydration to the facial skin for the rest of the day.
  • Apply a water-based cleaner in the next step: In the next step, apply a non-oily, non-sticky face cleanser to clear off any remaining dirt. It’s better to choose a cleanser having low pH. This ensures least possible irritation to your skin. Apply very gentle pressure while massaging the face with the cleanser. Use lukewarm water to wash it off.
  • Apply a toner: Toning the facial skin is a necessity to keep it soft and glowing. It erases the pores and balances the pH level of the skin. As a result the facial skin doesn’t secrete too much oil. Take substantial amount of the substance and dab it evenly on the face. Allow the facial skin to absorb all of it.
  • You also need to use serums: In addition to the steps discussed above, your face needs serum to stay and look healthy and soft. Serums are thick and concentrated solutions that cure specific skin problems. Choose a serum on basis of the problem you have. Take a few blobs of it in the palms and rub the palms together for few seconds. Start applying the serum from your nose and gradually rub the palms in the outward direction, toward the cheeks and the ears. Wait for 2/3 minutes till your skin has absorbed it completely.
  • Your skin on the face also needs enough moisturiser: You also need to moisturise your skin well. Depending on your skin type, either chooses a water-based gel or a creamy, moisturising lotion to keep your face soft and hydrated. Gently massage the moisturiser on your neck and the face till it gets totally absorbed.
  • Your skin needs sunscreen protection: The UV rays from the sun damages your skin like nothing else. To save yourself and your skin from this harmful effect, use a sunscreen lotion with SPF. This will minimise your wrinkles, creases and fine lines. Take a little of it and lightly massage in on your face, neck and the forearms for a few minutes every time before you go out in the sun.
  • Use an eye cream too: The skin under the eyes is most sensitive and so, the area needs extra care. Eye creams are meant to nourish and nurture this sensitive region of your face. Moreover, this range of creams also takes care of dark circles.

Follow these tips to ensure the right treatment for your damaged skin. It’s also important to eat a healthy and balanced diet to keep the skin properly nourished.
